I was born in Penn Yan, NY raised in a farm and Boating town of Wilson, NY on lake Ontario. After my time in the US Army working on the Cobra Helicopter I learned to fly in TN at Outlaw Field. I enrolled in January of 1981 and began instruction in September of that same year learning to fly in Cessna aircraft: C150, C152, C172 and my Commercial in a 172 RG.
I have more hours flying and teaching than most calculators can display. I currently fly a 58 Baron and a Cessna 414 for a number of families in Ft. Myers and Labelle. I also fly for a gentleman who recently owned a Citation X + and currently has a Longitude on order through Textron for completion in the later part of 2025.
I hold a CFI CFII MEI MEII and ATP and I am type rated in the above mentioned planes and Jets as well. I have a Google calendar that I share with pilots looking to fly with me with ONE rule that my wife has asked to stay in place: NO flying on Sunday. With her permission, that could be overruled on occasion.
I have a TON of experience and would love to share that with any one of you.

Flying has always been a passion for me but lately the skies have gotten more crowded. I tell people I fly like I am trying to figure out who is trying to kill me today and avoid them. This is especially true at non-towered airports. The most important thing to remember is that not all airplanes have ADS-B and may not show up on foreflight or the GPS in the airplane. Always keep an ear open and a mental picture of where other traffic is. Never assume that the traffic will follow the rules like you do and, in some cases, traffic may call in the pattern for runway 5 when they meant to say runway 23. Most important if at any time you get overwhelmed with the traffic leave the pattern and wait 10 minutes. Usually, most patterns clear up in that time. Have fun and safe flying.

I have been flying since 2006 and after many years as a recreational pilot, I decided to move towards a career in commercial aviation in 2023. Since mid 2023, I have secured my Instrument, Commercial Single and Multi-Engine as well as my Seaplane and CFI / CFII ratings.
These days I spend my days helping people earn their wings, build IFR skills, prepare for checkrides, shake off the cobwebs, checkout in unfamiliar airplanes... you name it... and sometimes I just get out there and fly for fun!
I have a flexible schedule and can generally fly day or night.
